Does anyone make kombucha?

I had tried it before and didn't care for it, but then I bought another bottle and got hooked. It's expensive to buy that way, though, so I wanted to make my own. I have tried twice now and while it's good enough to drink, it simply won't "fizz." I have followed the rules, but I must be doing something wrong. Does anyone know how to make it ferment to the point of fizzing?

Its a fermented drink, usually made from tea, full of probiotics and very good for you.

@Ronrybs It's basically fermented tea, but often flavored with something else once the first fermentation is done.

I have heard of it but never tried it. Do you drink it because you like the taste or because of health benefits?

Both. Some of it is really good! The health benefits are always important.

I do not even know what a kombucha is or even how to get things to fizz.

The main thing I can think of is that there may be a problem with the yeast you are using.

I suppose that could cause a problem, although it does ferment just fine the first time. It's just the second time, when it should develop the fizz, it seems to quit working. I don't know. Maybe I will find a fresh scoby and try again.
