I think I fixed my alarm problem on my van

Since I bought my van used about A year ago the alarm would go off randomly when the doors were locked. There was no reason for it to go off. Lately it had gotten worse and I just could not lock it at all or 5 seconds after the alarm would start going off. There is no way listed in the manual to get it shut off so I did a Google search for how to unhook the alarm. It led me to a youtube video. It was super easy to unhook. My kids and I went out and did some school shopping yesterday and returned their summer reading logs. We locked the doors at each place and the alarm did not go off once! I think the problem is fixed thankfully.

@crazyhorseladycx This was years ago and worked great to rid the virus. My old computer still worked bought was so old and outdated. I've been using a new one for a few months now I love it.

All I had to do was unhook a wire under the hood. The wire looked like it had been wrapped with tape so maybe it was worn out and shorting out causing the alarm to malfunction.

I think this goes to show that the more they 'improve' things the quicker they go wrong. You Tube is a real of information, but disabling car alarms is a new one on me!

I don't need an alarm I am just as well without it. This is an old van and I don't have valueable gear in it so telling me someone is trying to break in is useless. It going off constantly drove me and everyone around nuts.
