$20 at Walmart

Yes, I actually shopped! That's something I've not really done for some time--other than spending $1 or so for a little lunchable when needed.
I was heading to Walmart to buy the 2 packages of Kraft cheese for the 1,000 pt mypoints offer. Sadly, there were no coupons to print for the cheese. They were there last week and gone this week.
While printing coupons I remembered that SavingStar had sent me an email saying if I didn't use my account by August 23 then I would lose what money I had in there. I have $3.94 and minimum to get paid is $5.
I chose 2 boxes of Cheerios to buy. I did print out a $1 coupon for those and will get $1 back from SavingStar almost making them buy one box get one free.
While printing coupons I seen one for $2 off Carnation Instant Breakfast Light. I don't usually buy Light but thought I wold since it's been too long since I've had my instant breakfast.
To my surprise, I opened ibotta, which I've also not used in forever, and seen that there was a $1 rebate there for it. I also added 25 cents back on any cereal so another 25 cents back on buying the Cheerios.
Walmart only sells the instant breakfast for $4.98 compared to $6.75 at Dillons. I feel good that I ended up with a box for $2 after rebates!
I had to buy both packing tape and transparent tape, which was my original reason for going to Walmart. I find both to be cheapest there.
And, I couldn't help but pick up several different markers, colored pencils, and crayons too while they are super cheap for back to school. I love having those around when we need them.
Plus, I will earn 20 sb on Swagbucks for using the 2 coupons that I printed and used, so another 20 cents. Cha Ching!
So yeah, I am excited about actually shopping and hope that now that I've started, I can watch for the good deals and keep it up.
The app I've not put back in my phone yet is checkout51....and jingit. Anyone else do jingit to know if they still offer some of the buy any products for rebates? Guess I will check that out for myself. Might even be some videos to watch for money too.
I did open my shopkick app while there and got the 20 walk in points, but didn't have time for scanning as we are on a tight schedule today.

Deals, apps and coupons sort of make me crazy. I do have a stack of coupons to use now. For stuff we buy. I have my cheese receipt. I need to learn how to make this printer scan so I can upload it. That will more than half way make up for me accidentally redeeming part of my points the other day. You need to start getting up and doing at least the instant breakfast.

learn fast!! I know we do have until the 21st to buy and the 23rd to put in the receipt within the dates.
I use my printer for scanning as I can't seem to figure out how to do it on the wireless one.
Mine is lexmark so I have the lexmark productivity studio. I have to open that if hitting the scan button on my printer doesn't bring it up.

I miss my coupon shopping trips for sure.
I used to get about 15 Sunday inserts free each week from someone who delivered the paper, then they quit their route.
I started buying 5 sets of inserts each week from a friend but then I lost one job and paying her was hard.
I miss the excitement of the good deals.....and my stock pile shelves are virtually empty now!

I used to have so much fun with the savings. For 3 years I had a merchandising job out at Walmart so I was out that way 2 times a week anyway.
I can't just drive clear across town now as I'm poor and can't keep enough gas in my van as it is. I should have taken time to stop at Target while I was out there too though for walk in points from shopkick.

. That's a lot of different sites and apps. It sounds like you had some really good buys. I wouldn't be able to keep up with it all.
