Have You Ever Participated In A "Swap Site?"

Do you ever wish you could swap things with others. I looked into the idea and came up with a few sites, but have yet to try any of them, so I was wondering how well they work. There are sites that supposedly swap clothes. Swapstyle.com You are supposed to list the items you have to swap, with photos and then look to see what others are offering. Sounds like a good idea, but…I’m just not sure. What do you think? Another site was for swapping CDs and DVDs. Barterbee.com Some people DO collect old DVDs and CDs and I have some that I would like to find a good home for. You can also swap toys for the kids at totsswapshop.com and toystotrade.com Other items, even what you might consider junk can be just what someone is looking for. This site is swapathome.com or poshpoints.com This last one is about earning points that you can then use to get what you want. I have a lot of Elvis stuff, Barbie dolls, books and lots of other things. I haven’t checked any of them out yet. What do you think? Picture by Pixabay

Years ago I organized a swap night with the girls at church. (I forget what we called it.) Everyone brought clothes (in good condition), jewelry, purses, scarves, makeup, things like that and we took turns choosing an item. It was ok, but would have been more fun with more girls and more items.

We've been talking about doing that too. I think it's a GREAT idea. The biggest problem is that I'm the only one that has a portable clothes rack, and believe me, I can fill that up with my own clothes. Especially now that I've lost 40 pounds. I'll have to mention it again though. I would like to do it.

That's a good idea but I never tried any of the sites. I hope they're applicable in our country too.

I'm going to check out the sites this afternoon and see what they say and learn how it actually works. But, my granddaughter is having a Yard Sale next month and I will probably just get rid of my unwanted items there. Then use whatever money I get to buy what I want.

It may seem like a good idea but how sure can anyone be that your item of interest will really be delivered.

That's a great question. I guess you have to take the chance. Who knows what the outcome would be.

Don't have it here. But it sounds a good way to unclutter.
