Working on the garden

Alright, so I didn't do a lot of work on the garden myself, but I bought the stuff to work on it! S, the young man who put the garden in, came over with his whole family. The 3 kids had some fun with the dogs and cats and S, his wife and father-in-law, worked on the garden. His wife, who is confusingly, another "S" but we'll call her "Sh" did probably, most of the plant work. Pulling out dead plants, checking to see if any were still alive - a few... "A," the father-in-law, and I went and got 10 more bags of dirt to add to the garden. "Sh" had loosened up the old dirt and when we got back with the bags, "S" and "A" dumped the dirt in and she spread it around. She seemed to really be enjoying herself. Me... I'm not much into "outside" but except for checking on the kids and cats, I spent most of my time out there too. I think we might have a few things left to grow. We also put fertilizer down and she watered it in. But even better... it RAINED!!! This is like only the second rain we've had since the end of May. A nice, slow rain too, good for the plants because the ground was so dry and hard...
