I was so happy when I woke to find the new rating system I added to my Facebook Journalist Page got a 4-star rating. It's the first time I've used the rating system and I'm happy my followers are enjoying the news I share with them. Recently, I activated Periscope on Twitter. Again something I've never used before but because I cover so much breaking news, instead of just a photo or uploading a video, I can now post LIVE coverage. It's nice to know people enjoy what I bring to them. Happy Dance!

Being a journalist is tough. Great to know you have a good rating which means many people are happy with what you have created. Keep it up.

@WendySpickerman I was going to have a look at your efforts and get inspired. Britspeak can be obscure at times!

So what station are you in or where can we see you from time to time doing the breaking news live or replay? I would be mighty proud to tell my friends watching cable TV that you are my mylot friend

I'm a contract journalist so you'll never see me as an anchor but I do go out and cover the weather myself, so in those video's you might see me. And I always share those links out on twitter and to my Facebook Page. I don't get on here as much as I would like because of work but I pop in and try to stay connected.

I am not familiar with anything on Twitter. I made an account but Twitter turned me off, can't even keep up with all the short blurbs, I just go to Facebook. Congratulations on your high rating! Hey it's great you can post live.

But two years ago, I didn't even want to touch twitter and now I find it's helped me in so many ways.I can get statements from officials just by sending them a p.m. They know me enough to know I'll ask to quote them before writing anything. And they keep me informed answering my questions just so I have background to work off of on a piece. Plus, I get job offers because people see my credibility front and center.
