For a couple of weeks I have been showing up sporadically and fleetingly here. Well, our 2 boys, their spouses, and our 7 grandchildren from Saskatchewan came over for family reunion and to say "Hi, welcome to the world!" to one-month-old grandkid (a boy) No. 8. Whew, it was a rowdy 2 weeks playing with our 7 cheerful grandchildren (ages 2, 3, 7, 8, 10,12, and 13. We went to three local parks including the very popular Calaway Park, where the kids had so much fun riding the ferris wheel, bumper cars, and many more. And for the first time in my life I had the urge and gathered enough courage to ride the roller coaster. O, boy, I thought I was going to die and swore I will never ride again. Whew! Have you tried riding the roller-coaster?

Good to see you again Julito. I loved the roller coaster when I was young, but when I went on one a couple of years ago it made me feel decidedly queasy. I won't be doing that again - ever. Glad you had fun with the family, and congrats on the new grandchild.

We always have a family reunion every year, my friend. Our only daughter and the youngest is not happy if we don't have.

@dodo19 And my wife and I are happy coz our 3 sons and only daughter could not forget how hard we worked for them. All of them graduated from the university and, thank God, they have good jobs and wonderful families. Few more years I will retire . . I just hope and pray that God give us many more years to live to see our grandchildren grow.

@SIMPLYD Thank God, I did not! But I had to go to the washroom right away coz I felt something in my bottom receded when we were upside down (O, it was so scary) to check if it needed to be pulled out.

Yes, I have tried it. My boyfriend and I rode the roller coaster in Singapore Universal Studio. Just like you I will not ride again the roller coaster. I felt like my soul left my body that time.

@antonbunot good thing they are better singers than you, and hopefully, the grandkids, too. hahaha! non-stop cooking and eating, yum! plus two houses, two vans and all expenses paid. perfect! what a great family you have!

@hereandthere . . Yes they did . . and few days in the house of their only sister (the youngest in the family). The good thing was they shouldered 90% of everything needed in the kitchen! And the young cousins get along pretty well. Our 3 boys, their spouses, and, of course, our daughter get along pretty well, too. Each of our 3 boys have their own vans. Lots of singing coz everybody sings. Their grandpa (that's me) is the only one that goes out of pitch from time to time! . . They left for home yesterday.

In my teens and twenties I would ride it all the time. In Colorado after midnight the rollar coaster was free and we would go in and ride it than.

I have ridden roller coasters. We used to go on the one at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk a lot when I lived in San Jose. I was a teenager then. There will be no more roller coasters for me, lol. Too much hardware in my back, so that's my excuse. I would be too chicken even if that wasn't the case!

Must be fun to be with your grandkids. I used to ride roller-coaster a lot. Until I grew up and started feeling all sorts of things before, during, and after the ride.
