Pesky Political Pests

The name calling is beyond ridiculous among those who are either supporting their candidate or bad talking the opponent. I constantly come across comments on social media where one is calling another names like "repuke, libtard, etc." Clinton supporters calling Trump supporters stupid and visa versa. Comparing the candidates to Hitler, Mussolini and other dictators. You know who is like Hitler and Mussolini? Hitler and Mussolini-that's it. Using terms like fascist without any clue what the word means. Words like "racist, xenophobe, misogynist, homophone" being thrown around by those who can't tolerate when someone disagrees with them. Personally, I'm sick of the whole thing.

As an outsider, there seems to be too much hatred in the American political process for anyone who supports an opposing candidate. They're not stupid, uninformed or just disagreeing - they're evil.

True and sad. It has been downright vicious.

@irishidid It also means that any candidate who is pleasant to their opponent risks a backlash (and people seemed to have overlooked that Bill Clinton and Bush Jr. are apparently quite good friends). Not a good state of affairs.

It has reached an all-time low, hasn't it? I don't think I've heard anyone say anything nice or non-inflammatory in a very long time.
