Stupid Ruling

My opinion.
I heard the news on the way home yesterday that just made me look at my car radio and say out loud - NO WAY!
So what was this news? It seems the town board, at least I think it's the town board, of Arlington, New York has declared that the fire trucks not carry the US Flag on the back any longer. Why? It's distracting. Say what? It's distracting? Come on people. This is the US and there is nothing distracting about the US Flag on the back of our fire trucks.
I really hope they reconsider this ruling. It's just plain stupid, but that's my opinion.
Have you heard any stupid rulings where you live? Thanks for reading.

This is America & our flag should be allowed to be displayed proudly... This news makes no sense whatsoever

No it doesn't make any sense. I hope they come to their senses and allow the firetrucks to still have the flag on the back.

A small town close to ours has some people trying to get rid of a Christian sign you see from the highway. I think in the long run the sign was moved just enough to be on someone's personal property and ruled that because of that it didn't have to be taken down.

I'm glad it was placed where nobody could take it down.

@just4him .....I hope this doesn't mean that they can't have a flag on board anymore.

I'm not American but that in my opinion is very unpatriotic, whoever authored that bill or ordinance is probably grandstanding or needing attention

@louievill Not that ruling. It's too crazy to think about. There's nothing good about not being allowed to display the flag.

In what way? I've never been distracted by the flag when I've seen a firetruck pass me, besides we need to pull over to the side of the road to allow them to pass.

I'm not american ... but I too think it is ridiculous... I can't see that it would be distracting..., we have had several little stupid rulings in the uk... and some of it for so called safety reasons... and some that whittle away at the nations identity ....

I'm glad there's nothing stupid going on in your town.

Whatever it takes to save the bail money. I agree, I don't listen to news very often, pretty much only when I'm in the car and have the radio on there.
