I seem to be sort of lethargic today and just feel fine but lazy.Yet Im earning and my friends are interacting so I must be doing some interacting back now.I have several hours. WE diabetics are told we cannot have testing equipment in our rooms so we must' ]come down to med room to be tested for blood sugar.Okay we obey only to be told like yesterday we are out of strips.say what? we are diabetics and residents here 'we are obeying your stupid rules and you did not think to keep a large supply o f test strips as you know we have to be tested. ' This nonchalance baffles me as its part of keeping in control of our blood sugar b y testing it on our meters. No tests no knowing if we are in control or not. I have an hour and a half before going down 'and hope that they got strips to test with.I feel 'that there is no excuse fo r that as they know how many of us need to be tested. What is your opinion on this fellow mylotters? One original post, graphic by P Hatley copyrighted 2016

I think it is awful. Your health depends on you testing and adjusting your nutrition and activity according to the results. They don't seem to really care about things where you are. They should have a diabetic table where they don't serve pasta, bread, and cake in the same meal.

You need to report them not have the test strips. That is ridiculous. Because they won't let you do the testing in your rooms they have made themselves responsible. If they don't have any for several days I would definitely report it. If they get some rather quickly then I would might not.

@Hatley ....If they do again I would let someone know. They should do better at supplying these things for you. I hope they realize how important this is.

You are totally right, there is no excuse for this "nonchalance"

There is no excuse what so ever for them to run out. Somebody clearly was not doing their job. That should never happen.
