Nit Picking. What's That, You Ask?

It’s finding fault with every little thing that someone says or writes or does.
We could all be “nit-pickers.” It’s quite easy to do on this site, but we already have quite a few who are busy doing it, so you’ll have to get in line.
Yes, I’m upset!!! In case you are wondering or have already figured that out.
I’m sure that I could go find posts by other persons who have written something that could have been plagiarized from another source. Since just about every word that has ever been written has already been written by someone else. Right?
For instance, I was a motivational speaker for over 35 years. But, I came up with my own words of motivation and used my personal experiences as examples.
I have heard other motivational speakers and they OFTEN say the same things. WHY? Because there are only so many different ways to say something that will motivate someone else.
I know for a fact, that many of the things that I have said at Sales Meetings have been used over and over by someone else. I even passed out my entire speeches to all in attendance and I have had persons come to me later and tell me that they used my ideas to motivate THEIR team. That’s what I WANTED them to do.
What I’m trying to say is that if someone copies something word for word and posts it as their own work, that would be wrong, but to use a few of someone else’s words or ideas is not the same thing. I don’t consider that plagiarizing. I consider it sharing so as to HELP someone else have a more positive VIEW of their situation or to help someone set some realistic goals that would better their lives.
Also, if you share some interesting facts about a person, country, planet, animal or whatever, that is not plagiarizing. It’s sharing! And personally, I wish there was MORE of that on this site. There are so many things that I would still like to know and on this site there are persons from many different countries, or those who have done extensive traveling who could share their experiences, so that we could all learn more about other countries and cultures and make friends.
What good is an international social web site, if we have to fear that something we write is going to be pounced on by a “plagiarizing sheriff?”
Quotable quotes are for that VERY PURPOSE! Otherwise, why say them?
I’m on my soapbox and I know it. I apologize, but I would still like to say it and I would also welcome your opinion. Positive or Negative. I don’t really care.
By the way. I sent this entire post to Admin.

Well, it's rather mean what they're doing. They see you upset about these deletions and they won't even tell you they reported because they thought you copied from such and such a source, or WHATEVER they are doing. I love social sites, but seriously this kind of jackassery gets old. I hope it gets straightened out.

I'm waiting to hear from Admin right now and then I will just drop it. What else can I do? I appreciate your kindness.

@IreneVincent it was some b.s. like this, people targetting each other, that caused me to drop myLot years ago in the first place. I hope it doesn't keep happening again. Good luck.

I find interesting things to write about from many sources. Mostly documentaries that I watch whenever i can and my trivia notebooks that I have kept for years, long before I ever had a computer. Computer technology is very new to me and I struggle to learn different concepts.
Almost everything I had to learn about writing on myLot came from writing on myLot. What I mean is that I didn't know how to do much of anything, like writing on Microsoft Word and then saving what I wrote until someone explained it to me. I didn't know how to copy and paste or even what that meant. I didn't know how to upload my photos or download photos from Pixabay. I didn't know how to provide links to other sources. All this is very new to me. And I'm still trying to learn it. I have even written about how excited I was to learn a NEW skill on the computer.
I've had to get my son or grandson to show me how to do things on the computer, and my iPad, which my oldest son bought for me about two years ago.
