Flight Delayed

I just got a call from my son who is on his way home right now, but is delayed in Atlanta. So his 9:15 arrival will be a bit later.
For me that means I will be here a little later and just might get a few more notifications done. I'm starting to see them go down, though I'm still over 300. If I can get to the end of 17 August, that will be a plus. If I can get below 300 that will also be a great plus.
Of course I'll know how much longer I'll be here when he next calls me. I told him to call me when he boards his flight. I wonder what's going on in Atlanta, if storms are delaying the plane. I think I'm going to look up flight delays from Atlanta, though I don't know his flight number. General info should give me some answers.
So how's your night going or day if you're on the other side of the world just getting into your Sunday?

Hope it won't be too long for you to wait to see your son soon.
It's Sunday morning here and I just had my morning yoga practice and nursed my baby. Now it's time for me to wake up the two elder children, and bring them to the park later. Though I am feeling sleepy here, I think we should go out and enjoy the sunshine on Sunday! I need to get away from my computer too.

Delayed flights are a big pain in the behind! I've experienced a couple and although the airlines were generous in providing hotel stays and food until the new flight schedule is given and they gave free airline tickets as well, the over-all experience and stress just ain't worth it.
Sunday morning here in Manila and I have no plans for the day. I just intend on staying here in the site while watching UFC 2020.

I'll be heading to bed here in a minute or so. Are you waiting at the airport for him, or have you not left your home just yet? Hopefully you are comfortable at home rather than in those hard chairs while you wait.
When doing your notifications do you always work from the bottom up and are you able to be behind only a few days at a time? I've been working from up to a week before, but I do know that sometime within the seventh day back they'll drop off the page, so if I'm ever behind that much I'll save it to evernote or something like that.
I do both. Work from the bottom and work from the top.

@just4him 400 in three days time, that's a lot of notifciations. I'm not sure whether i could manage that many when the time comes. I have about 125 when I'm behind a week, but that's after eliminating the likes that go along with comments on the same response or comment, and I also get rid of duplicate notifs like so and so mentioned, commented and like you here. I'll keep one when I'm pretty sure they are all related. That will whittle my list down quite a bit when I'm running behind.
Even if I can't be here much, I'll usually work on those each day just a little, so although I say I may be behind one week, it doesn't mean I've done nothing with any of them in that time.
in fact, often I'll already have looked at some at the bottom, but forgotten to go back to delete them before moving on.

I work from the bottom up. Right now I'm three days behind. There were a couple posts I wrote yesterday that were important I answered the comments right away. This is one of them.
I was either at or on my way to the airport when you posted this comment. I waited in my car. He arrived at 12:15 AM. His flight was delayed due to engine trouble. So I praise God he got home safe.

@MarshaMusselman I've been losing notifications the past few days because I've gone past 7 days. However, I do have them in my e-mail, so I can go back and get them when these are caught up. So right now I'm down around 200 due to the deletions.

Everything is fine. The plane had engine trouble that made it delayed by three hours.

I looked up flight information, and though I didn't have his flight number, I was able to find it by eliminating the airlines he wasn't on and the destinations coming this way. It's got a 41 minute delay, which seems odd that 41 minutes would put him on the ground here at midnight, when it was originally scheduled for 9:13. I know that the time is local time. Oh well. I'm prepared to wait until I hear he's on the flight and what time he tells me he will arrive.
