My granddaughter and daughter in law came for a long visit today. Tomorrow will be granddaughters first day in community college. She has already had orientation and will start classes tomorrow. She was excited and happy about school and her boy friend. She is a smart young lady and worked with her aunt in her accounting business the last three summers, but she has no desire to run an accounting business. She is interested in forensics. It's the last thing I would have thought of but it's what she wants. So, I wish her all the luck in the world.

Forensics is a very different thing from accounting business. I think that if I had to choose between the two, I would also go with forensics, I hate accounting.

@RubyHawk I would have loved to become architect. Not always we can do what we want in life.

My granddaughter learned she didn't like accounting while working for her aunt. But she has been interested in forencis since she was old enough to think about what she would like to do.

@LadyDuck right, sometimes we change our minds or circumstance gets in the way.

@crazyhorseladycx My daughter in law has an accounting business and she works all the time. And she has problems hiring enough employees. I could never do it.

I wouldn't like accounting either. My better half's whole career was accounting. it isn't easy work.

It would be lovely to spend time with a smart young lady who may seem to have the whole world at her feet. I hope she enjoys college and that things go well for her.

I love her visits. While she was growing up she spent most weekends with us, but as a young lady she has her own activities so we don't see her near as much as we would like. But all our kids have to grow up.

@RubyHawk And I'm sure she'll return more often in later years when she is more established in her life.

I hope she enjoys her first day. I started my third year of college this year. The first week of classes are done and I am already tired.

I think the television programmes about forensics must be influencing the youngsters as my friend's daughter is studying it too.

I think TV prompted my granddaughter into forensics. She watches those shows. But she's been interested since she was in grade school.
