There's no need to absorb other people's insecurities. When there's a need to be apart of a "movement" one has to just go. Despite resistance and the hecklers. Moving ahead is the bed thing to do. Those who try to pull "progress" down aren't harming anyone but themselves. There's some people that will spend every waking day of their lives trying to rock someone out of the boat. No one can progress if they stop to listen to every cynic..Those who want to see others succeed will be inspiring and happy that others are trying to do better. Unfortunately there's some that want to see others fail. If we're not confident and have "faith" their words can pierce our spirits. Everyone has capabilities for something. Skills, being handy, or knowledgeable in a certain area. No matter how many hecklers their are. One must continue to "rise."
