Day 159 Psalm 138 Psalm 138:1 < I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. 2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. 3 In the day when I cried thou answered me, and strengthened me with strength in my soul. 4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth. 5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD. 6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knows afar off. 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. 8 The LORD will perfect that which concerns me: thy mercy, O LORD, endures forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. He takes care of us when we least expect him to. He answers our prayers and gives us strength for whatever we are facing. It doesn’t matter what we face, our concerns are also God’s concerns. Our enemies are his enemies. Our battles are his battles. When we put our trust in him, he will bring us through. David saw much trouble from his enemies. His life was a battle from the moment he took supplies for his brothers to the battlefield and met Goliath there, to the moment of his death. Yet he never stopped strengthening himself in the Lord. God was his source of hope and joy. He always had a song of praise on his lips. We face many situations in our lives when we don’t know which way to turn, yet when we put our hope and trust in God and not in man, God will come through for us in better ways than we could expect. Have you given your life over to God? Have you cried out to him in your difficult situations? Do you trust him to take care of you no matter what you face? Lay all your concerns in God’s hands and he will take care of them. Let’s pray: Father, you’re the best! I love you so much for all you do for me. Help me to remember to turn to you when life gets out of control, because only you have all the answers for everything I face. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Cry out to Him in need and also praise him for even the smallest things.

Amen, all the time, God is good. It takes a time to learn that, but when you "get it" life is definitely better.

God is there when we need him and he does answer our prayers when we pray to him.

Yes he is and yes he does, all the time.
