Making friends with past lovers? Could you do it?

Many people have different opinions on this. Some can do but others can't. Reasons vary and it is such a sad thing that some could not make it to even say hi or hello to the person who were a part of his or her life before. But, I do not judge them. I had been on several break ups too and it was really not easy to make friends with them.
How was your relationship with your ex?

I have no desire to be friends withave any exs. When it over its over. I may pass them on the street and I may say hi or I may not that is enough for me. Why would I want to be their friend? To each their own but it isn't for me.

I am friends with an ex of mine. In fact, before he left Europe we were able to chat for about 30 minutes. Friendly chat of course but no mention of our present relationships.

@toniganzon I usually do the same thing with my ex. After many years since we broke up, I can still talk to them but of course no more romantic feelings like before.

@annierose Well of course that's why they're labeled as EX!

I have an ex boyfriend who I tried to be friends with after we broke up, but he had personal problems and he was kind of 'stalker' like towards me (like he hoped to get back together). So, I had to really be forceful and with the help of my parents, let him know it was really over.

I hate stalker. I experienced that before with an ex-friend who assumed that I have feelings for him. I felt annoyed and afraid of him at the same time.

@annierose Yes, when my ex boyfriend heard through the grapevine that I ended up getting married to another guy (someone he knew), he did leave me alone, thank goodness.

non-existent! first one is a nutter and a bit of a stalker.. so no way I'm keeping in touch.
the second one, we just lead such different lives now, it's very pointless to try to communicate. So ya, lacks motivation, inclination, and don't see the point lol
