I get boiling hot or freezing cold, never just nice and warm Nothing is ever just the way I like it Even if a bus is best, friends insist we hike it I’m not putting weight on – my clothes are getting shorter If I want a son, you can bet I’ll get a daughter If I try being hip, trendy and cool, Everyone thinks I’m just a fool I struggle tuning in to a decent radio station Then someone changes it again, causing me so much anger and frustration I’d be turning in my grave, but I bet they go and cremate me If I sweep up the leaves, more fall from the tree I’m resting now – a nice hot bath after mopping up the floor Oh what a surprise – the phone is ringing and someone’s at the door No rest for the wicked – nor any for good manners, morals and refinement I’m off to commit mass murder – I need the solitary confinement But no, they’ll send a priest to beg me to atone.
