I heard that in U.S the people won't get their cars repaired. Once they give mechanical problem _ people leave their cars on the roadside and keep it for sale. The idea is it is very payment of the bill towards repairs will be very costly. Hence, the people will keep it for sale instead of getting it repaired. But, it turned out to be quite false. I have seen many leaving the car at the roadside and informing the mechanic at the workshop to pick it up and repair it in his Garage. This is the same position prevailing in India also. Then why people lie and make such false statements is not clear?

Pony ji, I heard such things about TVs, mixer grinders, other home appliances etc. In fact, when my cousin went to the US ..he picked a TV from the garbage can, fixed it, and used it..

@TheHorse .. My cousin said repairing mixers and grinders is too expensive in the US, as is repairing TVs.

It is a game for some people to make stuff up. I don't understand what they do it for at all.

I have a friend who comes up with stuff like that. Anything he tells you, you have to research later.

@TheHorse I have a friend like that too. And the things he says are so easily researched. I can't guess why he does this

People are always exasperating and giving out false information. I live in Canada and I have always repaired my cars and kept them for many years.
