Stress Relievers – My Pick Me Up List

The world we live in creates an environment that promotes stress, even though we know that stress diminishes your life force. We are inundated with all kinds of self-help tips and advice on how to relieve stress. You read what to do. You test to see if it works. You ask others what they do. Fact is there is no “one size fits all” remedy when it comes to stress relief. In the end, if you want to keep your sanity, you figure out what works for you. Perhaps it's somewhat comparable or similar to what in Asian culture is referred to as finding ways to develop your chi. This is my pick me up list for stress relief. I'll bet you have a list too!
1. Music (makes the heart merry).
2. Sleep (refreshes the body and soul).
3. Silence (calms the spirit).
4. Playtime (reminds you to laugh and not be so serious).
5. Aromatherapy (does wonders to all of your senses).
6. Prayer (communicate with the Creator who loves you).

ALL of your list strikes a chord with me. And this may come under "play time" but I like to do quiet activities like color in color books or do my paint by numbers. It's more like "quiet time" than play time, I think.
