Whatever you say about yourself online, even if it is in a private chat session with a survey going on or any kind of internet you have to expect that somewhere, somehow, all this data about you, me and a guy named Joey all got their stuff mapped to the hilt with stuff that companies want to know so they can target us all and get us to spend our last cent on whatever they think will give them more of the resources and monetary clout to keep on growing in complete disproportion to their ability to even know what to do with all of the numbers they have gained in one sense or another. Before you go telling it on a mountain over the hills and everywhere, ask yourself, do you want mass market guy to know what flavor coffee you like or what color t-shirt you want to wear while taking a trip to a notha country sides your own? They got your number. But do you really want them to have it? Do I even have a choice? Yes, I could go off the grid. But how fun would that be? Lets look at a link here below from a site called MASHABLE:
Marketers have built a temple that needs to be torn down. Demographics have defined the target consumer for more than half a century — poorly. Now, with emerging interest graphs...

I hope they are having a good time doing it. What a way to waste time unless of course they get paid 75 bucks per hour. LOL.

@RubyHawk When I go out and look for something to buy I am more confident I will be able to make a good decision when buying anything that is on a shelf and that I can observe in person rather than look at a thumbnail image on a computer screen of it. lol

@lookatdesktop I suppose it's more, they learn what we like and provide it. Although I don't buy on the internet. I like to see what I'm buying.

Actually there are people who are making a career out of the data we constantly share online. I have a friend who is a data scientist and she has been studying online profiles and translate them to companies so that the companies would know what to sell and how to sell it. No need to cover it up, we are all just a bunch of raw data waiting to be analyzed.
