Flax seed- Contains insoluble fibers that help to promote healing of the intestinal system. It prevents constipation by gently cleansing the intestinal tract. Acai berry(ah-si-ee) anti-oxidant higher than most others and is a tasty berry. This is actually a species of the palm tree. It's name means 'expels water'. The berry is said to have anti-aging and weight loss properties. Grape seed extract(also called Resveratrol) The resveratrol is a member of the compounds called polyphenols which are said to have antioxidant properties. This is found in the skin of red grapes and also in berries and peanuts. Curcumin- A bright yellow chemical that is produced by some plants. A member of the ginger family and is found in tumeric. It is used as a food flavoring, cosmetic ingredient and herbal supplement. Noni- Native to Polynesia, Australia and Asia. It is evergreen shrub and is used by Polynesian healers. The fruit is yellow green and has white tubular flowers. It is used for aches, pains, inflamation, tumors, and anti-aging. Vitamin E=antioxidant to fight cell damage.

I recently bought some flax seeds to add to our smoothies, I am hoping they add something good.

You can use them instead of eggs in vegan recipes too.

I buy flax seed from our better health food store. It goes into the bread dough when I make that.
