Camping--Final Day

The day started the same as the day before...the guys were up before me and already had the fire pit fire going and their coffee made. They were fishing over chit chatting though.
Once I got up I got our breakfast of sausage and eggs cooking.
As soon as breakfast was over the guys got busy taking town tents and loading things into the van. I got out my sewing and just sewed and watched them work.
My intention was to stay until after we ate lunch. It was going to be the same as the day before except cantaloupe for the fruit. However, once the van was packed we just sat around. Even I admit that I was a bit bored. I didn't argue when they guys said we should go ahead and head out.
Prior to getting bored though I wanted to get in some last minute pictures. I took some of the sky, the river, a path, a flower, hubby and DaKota looking at stuff, and snuck in a picture of my son as he sat at the picnic table reading his Bible.
Then DaKota wanted to help me get pictures so he started posing in trees for shots.
My son seen the frog (or toad) that is in my picture and called me over to get a picture of it. I zoomed in and like how the picture turned out.
Once home is something I plan to write about tomorrow.
I enjoyed our time away immensely even though it was just a short time. It just does good to get away and relax.

Hey, a few days with no one to pick up, take to work, take to the store or take to the doctor's, that was relaxing.

Our friend DaKota did a lot of extra things....I suppose in exchange for the fact that we took him along, which cost extra money.
Hubby always is the one who sets things up and takes things down....a whole lot more responsible for that stuff on a trip than he is at home, that's for sure!

Thank you...not so much of that at home...and after writing my post today, I did get up and get some things thrown away and put away where they belong. Now if I can keep it up, even a little bit a day, maybe the house won't feel so overwhelming.

Sounds like you had fun! I haven't gone camping for many years but reading your post reminds me of the fun.
