The All-Nighter

It's just after 4am here in Colorado. I'm pulling an all-nighter. Sometimes, they are worth it in more ways than one. We live about 35-40 yards or so from Fountain Creek, which runs through the middle of town. I went outside a little while ago, and a late night still combined with little vehicular traffic meant that I could hear the creek just as clearly as if I were standing on the bridge. It made for a very tranquil experience. It was so peaceful, so relaxing, that I got all Zen-like and stayed out there, letting myself just be. And that's my all-nighter in a nutshell. If I had a bottle of wine, I'd take it outside and watch the sun rise. I took the photo last year as I walked to the liquor store.

I used to do all nighters also. But that was many years ago now. Wish I could go back for a short time to relive some of those moments.

@teamfreak16 I like the fun type of all nighters. I know the not sleeping thing. I have had that happen to me also. They are not pleasant.

Sometimes I don't have a choice, I just can't sleep. Other times, I just think they're fun.

Your post brought back memories of when I would spend the whole night at the beach, slept on the sand and watched the sun rising and realising that I had to go back to reality.
