Jerks

So, I haven't been in my house very long. And I was told I was gonna be able to keep all the stuff that is in it. Now, I have a major jerk coming and wanting to take the things he gave me to use back.
Now, my question it, is this right? Or is this considered wrong on his part? Should I give the things to him or should I keep them like he said I could. I'm not sure what to do anymore. I don't think that I should have to give back the things when the man told me I could keep them and use them since he didn't need them anymore.
Its to the point where I just wanna scream. I don't wanna be the evil one, but at the same I don't wanna be the push over.

is it the same person who is asking you for them back as the person who said you could keep it? Then you should keep it...though it does sound like you might have to get into a fight for it....see if the things are worth it.
If there was a middle man involved in the communication...he needs to be involved in the conversation.

Give it back to him probably and tell him not to talk to you anymore, what kind of a person is that not keeping his word that you'll keep the things he gave you. what a jerk indeed.

Are they furniture? Definitely not right for him to do so, regardless. But I suppose if they're just minor stuff that you can do away with without any issue then maybe they're not worth stressing up for.
