Rain and its aftermath

I dread the heavy rains in Delhi. Whenever it rains for more than five hours leads to traffic jams and spill out of drains. The roads tend to weaken and many break down under the pressure of heavy downpour. The places below the flyovers are the worst hit. And all kinds of epidemic attacks making the city underdeveloped.

A gentle rain is good because it cools the place . However , when it becomes heavy , it could lead to a flood which is a disaster .

I am sorry to hear that. I hope you don't get too much rain. I can not even imagine having to deal with that. It would be worrisome since you have no control of when the rain will come and how long it will last.

Delhi is very busiest place and one of the developing city in India... so govt should take some necessary action to get rid of traffic caused by rain, provide proper drainage system so that rain water can flow up into a proper way making city clean

Hi @radhruv 5 hours of rain is pretty stressful. Here in the Philippines specially Manila area, 2 - 3 hours of rain causes traffic and streets are flooded. Well hoping that the heavy rains there would stop and have a better climate.

The nature fixed the problem. The bright sun shining has dried up almost every pot holes. Now the government officials do not have any work regarding this and will not realise the problem until it arises again.

@radhruv,You are right.I have returned from Kolkata yesterday.I have seen and undergone the troubles that rain in metro cities brings with it.The roads in Howrah were completely inundated and I had a hard time to hire an auto and reach a hotel there.
