I just finished reading an interesting article in Velonews regarding Lance Armstrong's doping ban. Although still banned from cycling for life, Armstrong is now allowed to compete in events such as marathon's and triathlon's (he started out as a triathlete,) as long as they are not events in which he can accumulate points toward championships. Basically, after serving four years, an athlete's ban is lifted, except for the sport in which they were caught cheating. So if you've got a marathon or triathlon in your future, Lance is now allowed to line up next to you at the start line if he so desires. Full article below:
Lance Armstrong has reached a milestone in his doping ban — now that he's four years in, USADA rules allow him to race non-cycling events.

I doubt that he would return to his former glory but I wish him well. I hope he learned his lesson and would not do something stupid like this again.

@teamfreak16 -- baseball player Marlon Byrd got caught using PEDs and famously said, "You have to be an idiot to get caught." This past May he was caught again. I have the feeling Lance won't be clean for long if he starts competing again. It's sad when our idols fall, isn't it.

He'll have to be looking pretty hard to find me at a marathon or triathlon start line!
