Vitamin C and Herbs on Allergies

September 8, 2016 8:35pm CST
I heard that Vit. C powder crystals heals amazingly. I tried diluting Vit C sodium ascorbate in luke warm water and patted the solution with cotton wool onto my daughter's face with her allergy (red and puffed to drying). We did this every time she felt itchy. And diluted 1 tsp of Vit C with bioflavanoids in glass of water 3 x a day. Also, had her try to take in coconut oil every 4 hours on the days of allergies. After 2 days, her rashes, which would have lingered for a week or more, cleared and healed. Amazing! Next time, I'll try lemon leaves and herbs. Do you have traditional methods, such as boiling tropical leaves, for relief from skin inflammations?

I've tried lemon juice on my breakout on my face. It worked as long as I remembered to use it. Thanks for reminding me. I'm glad the Vit. C is working on your daughter's allergies.

Thanks. Lemon juice stings, as does the Vic. C solution. But we pat her skin with QV lotion with Vit C. with cotton after.

Maybe if i dilute an ascorbic acid in a little water and form it in a paste and put it in my blackened scar and do this twice a day , it would lighten the scar ?

I hardly take any kind of synthetic medicine only multi vitamins and ginseng and ascorbic acid form of vitamin C, my favorite home remedies are coconut oil both virgin and heat treated, ginger, honey, native lemon, turmeric, moringga, guyabano, garlic and plain water. I also fast from time to time to rid my body of waste toxins and i maintained my weight to what it was when I was in my 20s

@louievill We get our non-synthetic Vit. C from a trusted source. I hear that guava is one of the best sources of vitamin C. Kiwi fruit is plentiful here. Wow! I'm learning more from you. Thanks.

@everwonderwhy we do not have kiwi, yes guava is rich in Vitamin C, guyabano is a different fruit, it's large and tasty with lots juice, its one of the best source of c vitamin. I have turmeric tea with moringga and guyanano leaves added. Vitamin c in the form of ascorbic acid is one of the few synthetic vitamins I take cause it seem to have a good effect on me, Mom takes the sodium ascorbate type cause her tummy is sensitive. To add, I also learned to massage my self more rather than taking pain killers right away. Im also learning from you.
