First time in my online business I got scammed. Two customers ordered dresses from my online business. Earlier today is my schedule for meet ups, two of them didn't come. I send them messages, and none of them reply to my messages. We waited for an hour. Still to no avail. Then after meet ups. We went to the boyfriend's cousins wake. He died of a heart attack last September 4. I remember him as the jolly type of person. After the wake. We went to the boyfriend's sister's house. His parents will give us our share of the fruits they harvested from the farm. At first, the boyfriend refused because I'm not allowed to eat fruits high in phosphorus. But I insisted because I want to give those fruits to my nephews and nieces who love these fruits. We have lansones, rambutan and the famous from our City, Durian. Got home at exactly 11 Pm. Random question. Have you been scammed by someone? Picture are the fruits we harvested from the boyfriend's farm.

That must be frustrating, but you aren't actually out of pocket if you still have the dresses.

Well, I can still sell them though. It's just frustrating when you are trying to make a living and people are so bad not to response. I can understand them if they will message me back telling me that they can't come because of some serious problem or they will cancel the items.

I wouldn't really say they scammed you, they were just time wasters. I have been scammed and that was by an ebay seller who sold me a very expensive phone that would never have worked...he disapperared

For me they are both scammer and time waster. And that's awful right?

@JustBhem it is bad but they aren't scammers as they didn't scam you they just didn't turn up when they said they would. A scam is more something that swindles you or steals your money...in some ways maybe they could be seen as scammers I guess as they have stolen your time

@Mike197602 I am on a payment first before process online seller. Since I have extra money, I was the one who bought there items and they promised to pay me once the order is arrive. I messaged and told them that the items there ordered are ready for meet ups. I messaged them to confirm if they are coming to pay me and they said, they will come. But when the time is come for the meet up. They didn't showed up. I called them and they are not answering. Here in my place, people who ordered items and promised to pay us, and didn't come in time for meet ups. We call them scammer.

I'm sorry you were scammed by customers. I'm not sure if I have been. If so it was a long time ago. You have a lot of fruit there.

Oh yes I was. I used to bring 16 G USB STICKS with me from Germany for selling. Some friends bought because it was cheaper than what they have here in the shop. Then one day, a batch mate came asking if I still have some because her son wanted to buy 2. Then I gave the 2 USBs and then suddenly she asked me if she could bring the money the next day as her son is still at school and I said ok. I said ok because 2 of our batch mates accompanied her and I trusted that she would bring the money next day. It happened 3 years ago and until now, she had not paid me. She kept on promising until I did not believe her anymore. I did not ask her about that money anymore. I charged it to my bad experience. The good thing is...She didn’t ask me anymore for any donations for whatever comes into her mind .

That really is frustrating when someone promised they'll pay you and no communication after. I learned my lesson though.

They were no shows. I find that happens a lot when you agree to meet up with people to sell something. They could have at least called you and let you know that they weren't going to be there. It was just a waste of your time.

Yes like most of the time for an online seller like us. Aside from our time was wasted, my extra money is wasted as well. I don't like Cash on Delivery, that is why I am on a Payment first basis, meaning we cannot process your order unless if you pay as first. But these people promised to pay me and tried the CoD process. it's juts frustrating.

I don't think you were scammed. Those people just wasted your time for nothing, and that is frustrating and maddening!

I remember seeing many, many signs - no durian - when we were in Singapore. Touch wood - I haven't been scammed yet.

@JustBhem I have been scammed by someone when I was younger and trusted people too much. I sent clothes to this "woman who was in hospital." She said she would pay me soon as she got the clothes but she didn't pay me anything. I was very young but learned my lesson very quickly.
