Mid-Autumn Festival is coming soon, it's on 15 September.
My husband just bought two mooncake biscuits for the children. These are like much simpler version of mooncake, without any fillings, and kept inside a small basket. I actually prefer this to the actual mooncake, ad mooncake is usually too sweet to me.
Have you tried mooncake or mooncake biscuits before?

Never heard of these. Are they good or too sweet?

In fact I made this small mooncakes at home long time ago. Of course I made it not only because I like cooking, but also for my son. At that time he was little and I hoped he would learn more about our traditional festival. It is a little complicated to make this traditional mooncake. Today there is a new type mooncake and it is stored in the fridge. It is very easy to make but I still prefer to eat the traditional mooncake much more.

I never tried the mooncake biscuits like the one above, but I have tried the mooncake. I like the clear kind with yellow mung beans. :)

I never even heard of it before until this post. I wouldn't mind trying them though.
