~Results For Their Test Are In~

The two older kids of mine are the ones who took this test. My youngest daughter has other work that she does. My oldest daughter got a "B" on her test. She's not happy about it but I told her next time if she studies more she will get the "A" she wants. My son got a "B+". He is very happy with his score because he struggled through it. I told him also that he should have studied more than just today and he would have gotten an A. Overall, they did well. Next time hopefully they will do even better...

@Mike197602 Yes, whenever we finish a chapter in any subject they have a test on it.

@LovingMyBabies do you ever feel temptation to up or downmark them relating to their attitude or are you completely down the line?

@Mike197602 Nope, I go strictly by their performance like a teacher would do.

B's are good but aiming for that A like you said can be done with more studying!!

It is good that they want to achieve an A. Maybe with some reminders from mom they will study more for the next one.

@celticeagle Yeah, I'm hoping next time they will study more. I gave them lot's of reminders-but their laziness kicked in. Now they see what that laziness got them.

I kept hearing about how smart I was, and how I should do better on tests. Well, I discovered my old report cards and I never did well in school, and it wasn't because I wasn't smart and didn't study... some people just don't test well.

I was just wondering if you could find a way to motivate them to study before and not at the last minute?

@marlina I reminded them all week long to study, that the test was coming up. They kept saying we will study and didn't until this morning.

As long as they don't feel pressurized they can aim as high as they want:)
