Bought A Non-Stick Cookware Set Again

I have wasted so much money with non-stick pans. But here I am again, I could not help but try a new set again. Last week, I received this new set of 3-ply Stainless, Diamond Coated, Non-Stick Cookware set that I bought online. I’ve been using them for almost a week now and so far, so good. The cook wares are not just of high quality but the whole set is of relatively cheaper price. It is one of the advantages of online shopping. You get it direct from the manufacturer so you get a cheaper deal. I just hope and pray the no-scratch and non-stick feature will not vanish in a month or two. Did you find a cheap deal lately?

I use some non stick cookware and they do not last long. I still have my stainless steel cookware that we bought when we got married, but I cannot count how many times I have thrown again non stick pans.

Yes proper handling is necessary and also sometimes the coating is not really that durable.

Non-stick pans would always become sticky pans after a few months . Mother-in-law despite being told not to use the steel wool on them would do them , so they are not non-stick pans anymore .

I have stopped using the Teflon coated ones that peal off.. the enamel coated ones are better health wise and last long too.

Those pot and pans look pretty ;) .. I haven't bought any pots and pans for years .. I still have the ones I bought more 30 years ago .. stainless steel and they had a lifetime guarantee .. lol , I think the company closed down because no one buys the new ones anymore as they are really of the highest quality cookware that they last a lifetime .. I remember paying $1500 for the set of three and it was more than 30 years ago .. So I guess, it was a really good deal .. I saved a lot through the years by not buying new ones ..

Good quality stainless years are really very durable but I find it hard to perfectly season my stainless steel pans.

@epiffanie I saw the procedure at youtube and I just followed it. It helped but it is not as perfect as a real non-stick pan.

@salonga I thought it was only the iron cast pots and pans that need to be seasoned .. I never seasoned my stainless pans .. maybe I just didn't know ..

@wiLLmaH I was so ignorant then of how to take care of Tefal pans, I used scotch brite to clean them. So the coating was destroyed and they had to go one after the other.

I think you handled them very well. My first non-stick cookware set was Tefal and very expensive but it was my first time to use non-stick and was unable to take care of them very well. They all went to trash after few months.

We have some cookware from the Pioneer Woman (she is on a cooking show here in the U.S.) and it has some non-stay pans. We have had the pans for over a year now and they still work perfectly.

Why don't you buy so much non stick pan. Does your early non stick work properly?

They did not, so I had to throw them away one by one as they started to stick, but this latest purchase of mine is so great. It is of very good quality, they are all working so well. I have never been this satisfied.

Nonstick utensils are bound to get get scratched sooner or later, irrespective of quality. So, there's no harm in buying a cheaper version. Good that you could grab a good deal!

I've purchased non stick cook wear that has stood up well. My most recent purchase has not....my father makes the pan too hot and uses metal utensils.....goodbye non stick finish.

I've learned that non-stick pans do not survive too much heat and all the more metal utensils. So this time I am very careful not to commit the same mistakes.

That's wiser. It is better to buy quality cookware even if it costs more.
