Wedding First Dance Songs...

I am getting married in November and I need to choose a first dance song. You'd think it would be very easy to pick a song but it is not. I made a list of songs that I really like but I don't feel like the songs are it. I don't want something slow. Everyone is doing that. I want something mid-tempo. The song from Dirty Dancing "Time of My Life" would be cool as it starts out slow and then gets faster. I actually pictured myself dancing that and the crowd cheering. I don't think my fiance would go for this song, especially since he wants a classic rock song. I am down with the idea of a classic rock song for a first dance. I actually think it's rather cool and it's something that people won't expect. The problem is finding a classic rock song that can actually be danced to and that's not slow either. Any ideas?

I guess now I have to find the post where you made the decision. My wife picked, "Love of a Lifetime" by Firehouse. It's our song.

My first dance song was called “Beautiful in White” by Westlife.

@lovebuglena I don't think I know that one. I will look it up on Spotify. Edit: I couldn't find it by Westlife. I did find one by Shane Filan and Paul Meehan.

Maybe this can help. Personally I loved it when Micheele and Jim in American Pie Wedding did the first dance to Into the Mystic

I got married in 2016 so no need for a first dance song anymore. Unless maybe I end up marrying again but I probably won’t have a wedding anyway.

Two Out of Three Ain't Bad, by Meatloaf, went through my head. But I quickly realized it was probably not appropriate.

How about "If I Needed You," by Townes Van Zandt, as sung by Emmylou Harris? I consider it the "best love song of all time." It's medium temp, with great lyrics, so people could bop to it,or snuggle to it.
