Just a hill but I like it

A hill that sits north of the Anthony Gap road.

This hill isn't usually so green. Now I can actually see all the layers of this plate which fascinated a geologist friend of mine years ago. If it weren't on private property I'd hike around on it to see if I could find anything interesting, oh well, tis not to be. Sooo, how do ya like that hill?

No, it is just west of Chaparral NM. I haven't been to Hueco Tanks in decades.

@rebelann - I haven't been to Hueco Tanks in decades either. I used to go there a lot when I was in high school. Of course, my favorite playground back then was southern New Mexico. It seemed like most weekends were spent headed north.

Its not just a hill, its nature's phenomenon. Look at the perfect foliation of the hill, along with lush green at its foothills and the blue sky at the backdrop. I loved the hill, so much that I want to reach out and walk right into your pic and go hiking to that hill. You should talk to the owner and check it out, you know. And you manage to do that, please do post more pics up close.

If I knew them I probably would ask but mostly around here they are afraid that if they let one person hike on their hill more will want the same access.

Yes, I like mountains too but this hill is in between a mountain range that stretches north south in the southwest region of Texas and New Mexico.

Maybe the owner would grant you permission to explore the hill. It's an interesting looking hill.

I don't know them so I'd be a little shy about asking.
