Sealing envelopes

Today at work I have to hand label, stuff, stamp, and lick seal a 200 envelopes. I would normally just use a sponge and some water to seal them or just take them to the campus post office and they run them through the machine to seal them. For some reason the president of the advancement office decided he didn't want them sealed that way & too much water on the sponge would apparently mess up the invitation inside.... So of course since I am the assistant to this department the sealing them by mouth got left to me. I normally go to lunch after work on Tuesdays & Thursday but since I want be able to taste anything for awhile I will just wait to eat. How do you seal your envelopes?

Oh, that is a lot of sealing! I usually just use tape to seal envelopes, I hate having to lick them.

So do all of my bosses. My boss brought me an envelope the other day and told me it was worth her walking upstairs just to hand it to me so I could seal it because she hates doing it.

@LovingMyBabies Not on these invitations that are being sent out to the board of trustees for the college. It is for an opening ceremony that the school is having for the reopening of our library. The family that donated $200,000 for the remodel will be attending.

I usually sponge them if I have a more then a few to do. 200 envelopes is a lot of licking. Be careful you don't get any paper cuts. They can be painful. Your tongue will be numb by the time you are done.
