Ugh, for the past three nights my 19.5 month old has been waking in the middle of the night. After nursing and snuggling he just won't lay back down without a fight. I or my husband put him in his bed and as soon as we do he gets up starts crying even though we know he is really tired and wants to sleep. Ugh not really how we to spend the middle of the night listening to him crying. So we have to tough it out and I hope tonight if he wakes he goes back down easy with no fight or fuss. If he does fuss I hope it's just for a minute or two because an hour of crying saying "I'm stuck" even though he isn't stuck.
Please night 4 bring us do,e good sleep.

Those are tough times to get through. You are doing the right thing and eventually he will just go back to sleep once he knows that you are not going to go get him. It may take a bit for him to realize that but it will happen. He is just being stubborn and wants you to give into him. Good Luck. I hope tonight is the night he sleeps for you.

I just laid him down after nursing him and laid him not fussing. I hope it says that way because we have soccer early in the morning.

Little Night owl
. Think you are handling it correctly. I remember pediatrician telling me wee ones have to learn to "comfort" themselves.

H normally goes back to sleep just find after nursing weather he is a wake or not. He puts himself to sleep at the start of the night. It must be a growth thing. He has been eating like crazy these last few days.

@sherryericha he isn't a baby any more he is a toddler since he is 19 months. He jaunt grew a lot in height it makes me think maybe he is eating so much to make up for the different a weight and height correlated with each other.
