Destroy the Trap!

In my latest discussion post, I had a picture of a makeshift noose trap tied to a tree branch. I discovered the construction men had another one in one of the nooks near the concrete fence.
Though I fear I might step on a snake going there, I must do it to prevent the monitor lizard (somewhat resembles the komodo dragon, but smaller version) from being caught in it. The one that I was seeing frequenting the grassy area looked pregnant and I want to protect it. I attempted to take photos of it but it escapes so fast when it sensed humans.
Do you also do something to help protect and preserve the environment?

We all need to. Life as we know it is soon to be over if we don't stop destroying Mother Earth.

I agree with you. If we do not take some actions to help preserve it, future generations can no longer see those things like those wild animals.

@acelawrites Eventually, there will be no future generations. We (as a human race) are killing everything good. Bees for example. With our attempts to kill off mosquitoes, we are also killing the much needed bees and butterflies. Without these pollinating insects, plants will cease to produce fruit. Animals and humans will eventually cease to exist, and the food chain will have been broken.

@cindiowens it is true! By using too much pesticides, they are also killing the bees. People should know the ill effects of using it; they should rather use mechanical way or biological control to kill mosquitoes.

@acelawrites That would be great. Just be careful yourself.

I will do it, so that no animal would get caught in there.

Yes, that's a nice way of reclassifying garbage accordingly; biodegradable and non-biodegradable and the garbage collectors can sell the recyclable ones.

@acelawrites It's basic but it's the thing most people fail to do in our country.

Yes, 3 R's for the environment should be done by everyone; limit or use resources wisely. Everyone has to do his share for the planet.

No, they will eat it! Good thing they're no longer here because the construction was finished.

I'm doing my little part here by planting some plants and growing my own vegetables. so little because of the little space I have in the garden. unfortunately, I don't have lizard here that size, probably smaller ones.

It is good to practice urban gardening. I do that also when we were living in Manila.
