I had a really busy weekend a few days ago. My husband took part in a dragon boat race on Saturday, and he went for practice on Friday, we followed him as well. It was the first time I saw dragon boat race. Then, on Saturday, we spent almost the whole day at the lake where the dragon boat race took place. There was a small artificial beach, so my children enjoyed playing with the sand and water there too. I attended a soap making class on Sunday. I have learned something new from the teacher. It was great to have new experience, but we were all tired after three days going out. Glad that we can stay at home and relax for these few days. How was your weekend?

The dragon boat race should actually be held during the DuanWu Festival or dragon boat festival, which is in the fifth month in Lunar calendar (usually somewhere in June), but I don't know why this dragon boat race was held on that day. Yes, I have actually attended another soap making class last year and made the soap by myself, 4 times. Though the soaps are usable as we are using the soaps now, they are not really good. Perhaps I need to get a digital scale and see whether it will be better. There must be something wrong with the measurement of my current scale.

That's very exciting! I am always an audience to the dragon boat race, but I have never had a chance to try it myself. No matter what the result is, it is fun enough to try it.

I have never watch dragon boat race, I did not know there are quite a few professional teams in my country as well. Though I don't think I will have a chance to row, it's fun to watch too.

@youless Yes, you are right. My children were excited too. We are also thinking if the children will get a chance to learn how to row the dragon boat.

@hereandthere Yes, he did, both hands and legs too. But he does play badminton always, so I think it's not too bad. It was a sunny day, and all of us got "burnt" too.

That's what my usual weekends are - stay at home and do the housework. It looks boring, but I feel more relaxing staying at home actually.

That sounds like a great weekend. I would love to take a class like that, we have made soap but it would be fun to learn a few new things.

Yes, it was great and eventful though we were all tired. I am more interested in soap making now, and thinking of making it to a business too as we are looking for ways to bring in some income now.

I think I don't remember last weekend. I've been so busy! Those boats look cool. Soap making has been on my list of something I want to learn, but yeah, I think I am already busy enough with my sewing and other craft projects.

It's good that your company managed that event. It can be quite exciting to see them racing the boat.

I went geocaching and shopping with my youngest daughter. I've been sewing a lot to get ready for our local fair. I have over a dozen items to enter into competition.

Geocaching sounds interesting. I have read the pokemon go is like geocaching, but I think geocaching is more fun and real too. I don't know if we have geocaching here, as I'd prefer my children to go for geocaching and I don't allow them to play video/mobile game too. I read about the local fair you mentioned. I didn't know it's actually a competition. Hope you will get what you want done.
