Some cities around me are putting laws into effect that will cause drivers to get a hefty fine if they are caught with a cell phone in there hands. There will be a $100 fine if they see you with a cell phone in hand while operating a vehicle. This has been a long time coming. People have a lot of options such as blue tooth or those hooks you can put your phone on. Are they doing this in your area yet?

It's a law in this state but we would need one cop per person in order to stop all of them that break that law.

If they are seen they could be fined. How about a citizen's arrest?

@celticeagle Sure, and wind up shot in the head - I don't think so - and you have to take into consideration they are driving 80 mph - how would you arrest some one like that?

I wish! some people sit at a stop sign forever talking on the phone, not to mention having wrecks because they are talking.

I'd rather wait on someone at the stop light than have them kill me on the road.

Talking on the cellphones while driving has caused many deaths and it's time laws against it are enforced.

If they are really in need no one can stop them. But as a hobby or for fashion sake you can not do such things. It is dangerous to you as well as to others. one should know that.

@celticeagle these laws are ubiquitously known to masses but still they violate it. While I commute from workplace I often find people perverting such laws and they never realize unless they meet some accidents.

They are selfish and don't care. Plus they don't think it will happen to them.
