I decided to look for alternative revenue sites to Google Adsense for my main web pages, as though Adsense used to pay well they have more lately slowed their payments to a trickle for all but a few high profile sites. Many sites I checked out proved useless, and one saturated my home page with very graphic links to hardcore porn – suffice to say I got rid of them very quickly. Another site sent me two e-mails side by side – the first accepted my website for its ads while the companion e-mail said I had been rejected as my site has ‘no content’, despite having over 1,000 blogs not unlike those right here on my Mylot pages. Only my old Tumblr pages showed any real promise. The call centre at which I was interviewed yesterday contacted me by e-mail to reject my application, which is more of a relief than a disappointment after yesterday’s interview, but I now have a follow up interview for the hospital administration support course, which I have to attend next week. I got some forms from the council to complete regarding my rent and tax rebate needs, which I’ll complete before seeing them, also on Wednesday. I walked to the local shops. A neighbour’s two dogs ran up to me, both off their leads. One was friendly but the other one narrowly missed biting my fingers and growled at me as its owner tried to convince me the dog was just as friendly as the other one. She clearly needs better rose-tinted glasses. Arthur Chappell
