Holy Smoly, it's already getting cool here

I suppose I shouldn't complain but I miss the usual 80s and 90s we get this time of year. Rain is always welcome.

At least it isn't as dry as it was last year, right? I recall last September as being very hot, mostly in the 90s, but this year it's been pretty wet since August which is really surprising, in the 56 years I've lived here I can't recall a single August as wet as the one we've had this year and now September is also wet as well as cooler than usual.

It used to be the same here @DesirousDreamer but over the past few years it's been slowly changing. We got spring in late February this year, that was a total shock cuz usually we'd get spring in late April. It was already in the mid 90s by late April. I think the seasons have shifted a little, now they're coming one earlier than usual. Heck, we even got snow this year as well as last December, that was a total shock.

@rebelann It has been a lot more gloomy and we have had the occasional cloud bursts. I am not sure if it is a normal thing or not, I do not really remember haha! We are still normally dealing with monsoons around this time and intense heat. It normally doesn't cool down until the middle of November, if we are lucky then it is the middle of October. There will probably be one more "blaze of glory" week and that will be it for the season. If there isn't, I will be shocked!

Thats pretty doggone chilly, makes 65 sound almost warm.

Oh my @marlina I suppose you're used to the colder temperatures, I prefer the 80s.

It was kool here this morning as well and they're even predicting rain. I just hope it's warmer when it rains.

That sounds so cold to me right now @simone10 it was 75 or so yesterday which was too cool for me to begin with. I'm just not looking forward to cold weather.

@rebelann I think we are supposed to get rain today and the high is only supposed to be in the 60's.

@rebelann it has been hot much longer than usual. We are enjoying the cooler nights. I actually got a good nights sleep last night.

Well, I must admit getting a good nights sleep when it's 80 out isn't so easy @Morleyhunt of course in a mobile home that doesn't have A/C it gets kinda hot. It helps that I don't mind the heat that much.

Now that is really cold, in the past we'd get down to the 40s in the winter month we'd get .... seems all that may change over the next few years.

I suppose so @Bluedoll but I haven't been all over TX, just here and back when I was a teen the family would go to Mineola now and then to visit relatives but that was always in summer.

my parakeet has a cold as she is doing this tiny sneeze. isn't it colder than that in some places of Texas in the winter at night time?

It's probably just for this week then next week we might be back in the 90s. I'd rather it were warm, I don't like cold at all and this cooling trend has me worried.

Those storms you get are so scary sometimes, I wouldn't want storms like that around here.

I've heard it's beautiful in Canada this time of year.

@rebelann I find it gorgeous here in fall. All the colors are so vibrant and against the light grey skies (for the most part) looks beautiful.
