It's 6.03AM and I don't really want to get up. Which is good because I think I will stay in bed cuddled up beside my 2 cats Cookie and Felix. Something about the purring is sort of hypnotic and seems to induce the need and the want to stay put. Cookie and Felix are sisters. 14 years old. We have had them for about 3 months now and they have settled in really well. Cookie is ultra laid back and Felix is pretty laid back as well but more vocal. Here's the thing I have noticed. Since we got them more and more stuff that used to irk me now just goes right over my head. Stuff that used to get my goat doesn't anymore to the same extent. The cats are calming influences , of that there is no doubt. Is this normal? What is it about cats that have done this to me. I know this sounds daft but I don't really care. My football team lost a big game yesterday. I lost money betting on it. When I heard the result I called the cats over to me. Gave them a stroke and fell asleep if this has happened before We got the cats I would have freaked out. I call them my people's. My wife thinks I am nuts But little does she know I know she is as nuts as me and the cats have changed her as well. What have cats got that make them have this magic power? Think after I post this it's back to bed for a cuddle with Felix and Cookie and get up when they decide to. I'm going cookie in my old age. I Felix in my bones ( get it?). Cat sltories anyone.
