My Wild Tree

I took this photo myself.

There is a tree next to my place. It has spread out all over the roof. I hear branches banging on the roof at night. I will have to pay someone to get the branches off our roof. I live in a park but the manager does not see a problem with my tree so I have to pay for it myself because I am scared that it will fall over or drop a huge branch on my roof when we have the next big storm. Should I pay them money I don't have? I don't own the land and I did not plant it. Here is a picture of part of my wild tree. It is so wild that it is sideways.

I do not understand what park is, and why manager should be doing that...if the house is yours, surely you will suffer so may be a written notice that if anything happens, the manager and park would have to bear relevant expenses...(not that life or injuries can be compensated for)..might do the trick.

@vandana7 Yes, a little rough on my bank account but not eager to have a branch fall through my roof, either.

I talked to the tree guy this afternoon. He is giving me a price I can afford and his son will haul away all the tree debris when he and his helpers are done.

Your property insurance company may insist you prune it back, and tree surgeons don't come cheap...

I do not have any property insurance. You can't get it for places like mine in Florida. No, they don't come cheap.

I would be worried too. Too bad you cant get them to understand sounds they don't want to spend the money.

Manager's word is law. An out of state concern owns this park and left him in charge.

Do you rent or own the place you live in? If you rent then it is the landlord's responsibility not yours to remove it.

I own the place I live but pay rent in a trailer park. The manager is fully in charge. The owner is in another state with no way to contact them.

@Hannihar I live in a camper that I own. I pay rent to park it here. The management is not responsible for anything that breaks in the camper. I did not plant the tree. It was getting big when I moved in. If I move, I'm not taking the tree with me. I think the management should be responsible for it. There is no lease here. They can kick you out for any reason.

@akalinus Where I used to live the landlady lived in another city so mailed the contract to me and I mailed it back. Here my landlord comes to the apartment and we renew the contract in person. So, Jo Ann, are you ressponsible for all repairs or is the manager suppose to pay for repairs being done?

Do you know someone who is the handy type? Maybe they could come and you could pay them a little for their effort, instead of a lot for someone professional
