Now That I'm Fifty

Reaching 50 is a big milestone. It is the perfect time to accomplish the things that we want to do in life. Travelling, enjoying things that we usually do or not usually doing, making ourselves worthy and productive. Those are the things that we can do or want to do when we are 50. There are some who wants to write a book or a novel. Some wants to participate in an act of kindness. There are others who still aim to become experts in their fields. And there are those who make themselves contented with what they are and what they have. I am fifty, and I want to travel to different places. I want to experience how life it is in other countries. I am fifty and I want to enjoy my life, Maybe not to the fullest but at least to the extent that I can reach.

It's when I started to realize more and more that my kids are grown as I got old myself...

Yeah. Me too. Especially if I see them dressed up and getting ready to go for work. Sometimes I ask them, "am I too old already?"

@magallon My friends' children are getting married or I'd hear about my friends getting grandchildren and I'll be like... oh yeah, I'll be a grandma sooner or later too - and at this stage it looks more sooner than later...

@sishy7 I am not yet prepared for being a grandma. I think it's too early for my children to get married. My eldest is only 23 years old.

Welcome to the club of 50´s. It´s time to enjoy life now and think of ourselves. Life is getting short and we will never know how short it could be.

Indeed , travelling is foremost in our mind . It is that time , when you can just relax upon reaching home from work because there is no one to attend to anymore (hubby need not be taken cared of ) .
