Writers or readers as well?

I could definitely see many are writers here. I would like to know who are the readers as well?
About me: I have kind of started gaining interest in reading recently. Would like to know your suggestions for me to read. It could be anything ranging from short stories to novels.
If you ain't a reader, what is it that stops you to read?
About me: I never could imagine and connect with the books soon. Now that I am able to picture every word I read, I like doing this!
PS: if you're a reader don't forget to mention your favorite book and the author! ;)

I really enjoy reading any books from Nora Roberts to Stephen King to Dan Brown while passing by James A. Mitchener accompanied by John Grisham and a whole lot more. I need to read as I am not very imaginative and lead a fairly boring life.

@RitzzView Yes I guess I do but also just because I love reading. I do not read novels or thrillers but also biographies, history, philosophy books etc. I just enjoy reading....

Reading is also like the trance stage..it just takes you somewhere else! Isn't it?

I am fond of books before - Mills and Boons and Barbara Cartland and Nancy Drew in high school . Then , in College i was into John Grisham .
I only stopped reading books when i discover myLot and other writing sites . I enjoyed writing , reading, interacting and earning at the same time .

You may enjoy short stories by Rabindranath Tagore, R. K Narayan and Ruskin Bond.
