my link building not working

Hey friends, I am building backlinks for my both site....but for whole 1 month my alexa rank is dropping and I don't know why it is happening....so I thought to pause my link building work for 2-3 months and will focus more on social sharing technique....but there is some good news as well....my recipe site's google searching is very much improved now....let hope for the best .....
