I just printed out 28 pages of Drawing Lessons for my great grandchildren. They are going to a drawing class for home schoolers this Friday and I thought that I would help them out a little bit.
My granddaughter is in charge of the class and she asked me to participate. I don’t know how it will be conducted, but I’m prepared to show them some VERY simple ways to draw animals, in particular.
She has a DRY ERASE board ready and I can use the instructions to put the step-by-step lines up on the board and then they will be able to look at what I drew and hopefully copy it.
I’m anxious to see how this will all come about. I’m sure she has several other things in mind, so I don’t want to get too excited about what I might be asked to do.
What I can contribute would be mostly for the very young ones, but the older ones would need more challenging things to draw.
My 15 year old grandson may also contribute. He goes to high school and takes two different ART related classes. He’s very good at drawing. So, she has asked him to show the older ones some of his projects.
I'm also taking a supply of drawing paper and colored pencils.

I used to like to draw. But I could never draw people or animals. I was always good with lettering. I do miss playing around with a pencil and paper. Maybe I will get back to it someday. Sounds like an interesting class for the kids. And you never know, some great talent could come from things like that.

Yes, my granddaughter who is conducting the class is very talented. One of her paintings was chosen to be hung in the hallway of her Middle School. It's still there as far as I know,.

@IreneVincent Now that is awesome. See, the kids today are way ahead of us. And that is a good thing. She should be very proud that her painting is hanging there.

@inertia4 She painted it when she was in Middle School. She's married now, with three children who are about to take this class. Her oldest daughter is 14, son is 10 and youngest daughter is 4 years old.
She never pursued a career, but she could have, I'm sure.

Well, I hope that some of the children tomorrow will produce a masterpiece. If so, I will take a photo of it.
