National Coffee Day

Hello myLotters! It's National Coffee Day, and I can think of nothing better to start my day today than with a nice big cup of delicious java! Did you start your day today with a cup of caffeinated awesomeness?
I am excited for my drive into work today, because there is a Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks and Krispy Kreme on the way to work. All of them are offering some type of special today on National Coffee Day, and I plan to take full advantage of all of them! I already told my boss I may be a few minutes late due to all the extra pit stops I'll be making, but told her I would make up for being late by being 10 times more productive today with all that coffee in my system!

@Drosophila Now that is a coffee worthy of celebrating with on National Coffee Day! I can't believe I've never heard of it! I'll have to see if I can find it for sale anywhere around here.

I have never consumed this "caffeinated awesomeness". Like the smell (but not on someone's breath), but can't stand the taste.

That's one of the big reasons it took me 45 years to ever even try coffee. I loved the smell, but couldn't stand coffee breath on people! It drove me nuts. Now, I'm sure I'm one of those people with "coffee breath!" lol

@ElizabethWallace My girlfriend is a big coffee lover, and she got me to try it. She makes the best lattes, and I was immediately hooked!

I am not a coffee fan at all. I just cannot do the taste. However, I did see all the places offering free coffee today.

@farbuoloxusy That is true! Taste buds definitely change over time! There are things I loved to eat as a kid that would make me vomit if I tried to eat it today! And things I hated as a kid I absolutely love now as an adult! (like steak, for example)!

I knew it was national coffee day but I have not had any. We have a dunkin donuts near by but i can't walk to it in under 30 mins. It would take me like 45 minutes maybe an hour by foot

I got so lucky this morning when I went to DD. I was expecting a huge line, but there was relatively few customers there when I stopped by. But literally five minutes after I got my coffee, there was a huge line out the door!
