Elaborate Echo

Our new tiles have been installed after a week of nothing but noise. Next to come will be shoe molding and carpentry work, the painter, and finally the furniture. We still need to shop for an area rug, a chandelier, lamps, and then meet with the decorator for window treatments.
Meanwhile, Doodles has been enjoying the new floor. Since the family room is empty, it echoes like crazy! Doodles makes several trips in there and yowls, meows, and meows again, just to hear his own voice, which he seems to love. He is like a kid in there!
Did you ever hear your echo?

I think that the last time I heard my own echo was when like you, we were having work done on the house. I dislike hearing that because it means things are in transition and its always nice when that is over with. Your new flooring looks lovely.

This nasty echo should end when our new furniture arrives at the end of the month. The floor looks like a mirror, which is what we wanted in there. Thanks. We wanted a more formal looking family room. We are hiring a carpenter to put in shoe moldings and to shave one of the French doors so it can open and close. There is an uneven line under the baseboards now that there is no carpeting in there. Never a dull moment for us or a cheap one!

That's a perfect picture of Doodles @DianneN . Does he make a run at the floor and then skid across?

Thanks! I was standing near his cheek brushing stand. He had just brushed his face. Lol! He runs after his treats in there when I throw them, plays with his springs, and continues to test his voice. He is more fun than TV. He slides on his fat belly.

Ah, things are definitely coming together! I hope your husband is ok with all that stuff going on around him too! That's so funny Doodles found an echoing place to occupy himself. I can't think of the last time I heard an echo .. for some reason I am thinking it was when we went hiking over the summer.

So much fun! The echo should soon be a memory! Doodles seems to like the choice in flooring.

An empty room will really echo. I experienced that many times.

@DianneN - I haven't listened to my echo in years ... but I would probably be like Doodles if I got the chance.

Empty rooms usually have an echo. I find I need the echo to go away to feel that I'm home.
