Women's Day and Daughters' Day.... Why Both?

When we were coming back from the hospital today, I heard from a FM channel that Today is the Daughter's day...
But I wonder... Whats the difference between Daughters Day and Women's Day.... Since every Woman is a Daughter and every Daughter is a Woman.....
I hope I'm not wrong.... :)

I think that you have made a very valid point.
Unless it doesn't include women who were once men and were therefore sons.
