I'm just frustrated today this morning. When we pick up our relatives from the Airport and about to put the baggage into my brother's van, some one assisted us with out permission.
Then right after that, He was asking for money
and later we learned he's just a driver to another passenger
.
I was telling you I wasn't happy the whole trip even though I tried to smile a bit. I feel that It was my fault for not immediately taking all the bags
I seriously thought we are safe
but at least she give him a dollar, that was just too much for me that day.

Sorry to hear the man assisted without permission! I would have told him no and to go away if you all didn't need the help.
$1 isn't a lot here but for your country the conversion is different.. What can $1 generally buy in the Phillipines?

I feel that it's my fault because I didn't react quickly and was busy putting other baggages of my other aunt. Well, the point is that it's forbidden @infatuatedbby and yet we experience it.

@infatuatedbby How can I do it faster when we had lack of sleep and tired from waiting. I just couldn't let some thing like that ruin my day.

@Letranknight2015 It's that scammed feeling . . . just the thought that someone intentionally violated you and your family. I'm glad it was not worse.

They do things like that to try to get money. Sometimes, if you are driving in the city, someone will come out and wash your windshield when you are stuck in traffic. They threaten to smash your windshield if you don't pay them. These thieves have other tricks, too.

This happens in your country too? well, he's not a beggar nor an employee on the airport but also just a driver from a fellow passenger @akalinus

She just gave a dollar @thelme55 but to me it was infuriating, I mean he just handed over two bags and not even heavy!

@Letranknight2015 I know how you feel. Maybe that man needs to feed a dozen of children and 2 wives. Just think in a positive way, you have helped feed a poor man.

I don't experience things like that in my country, but it happened several times when we were travelling around in Asia. It is annoying when you have to pay for "help" that you never asked for. At least he didn't steal the bags. I am always afraid of that when people want to carry my luggage without permission.

One should place all the luggage at one place and note down the total luggage. While taking them in you should verify whether the total is correctly kept in the van or any transport vehicle. Otherwise people have many way to cheat a traveler.

Then it's extortion by some one who thought to be a staff from the airport @Jenning, must be funny because you probably do this yourself?
